Key data on family well-being:

• The OECD Family Database consists of cross-national indicators on the situation of families and children. The database currently (April 2011) includes 60 indicators under four main dimensions: (i) structure of families, (ii) labour market position of families, (iii) public policies for families and children and (iv) child outcomes.
• The Family data browser allows users to chart and compare countries across selected indicators using an interactive tool (in MS-Excel).
• The OECD country snapshot presents an overview of the situation on families and children policies and outcomes. This interactive tool allows users to make assessments of each country’s position (on 20 indicators from the OECD Family Database) with respect to the OECD average (in MS-Excel).
• The Family support calculator is a tool to analyse how taxes and social benefits affect the income of families throughout a child's life cycle.
• The 8 key indicators highlight major issues discussed in the publication.
• Statlinks (at bottom of each chart/table) from Chapter 1. Families are changing.
