Geospatial Analysis for Policymaking: Towards a collaborative laboratory

 9 December 2020  13.30 -16.30 CEST Remote participation

What's the issue?

The OECD Centre for Entrepreneurship, SMEs, Regions & Cities is hosting a webinar in advance of the launch of the OECD Laboratory for Geospatial Analysis, a platform that proposes to connect people from academia, policy-making, the private sector, and Statistical Offices to develop and disseminate policyrelevant analyses based on geospatial information. These potential partners, together with the OECD and its Working Party on Territorial Indicators, will showcase policy-relevant applications of geospatial data and analyses and will discuss what role the OECD Laboratory for Geospatial Analysis can play in this context.

Opening Remarks

The event will consist of a virtual workshop where distinguished speakers will bring their experience on how geospatial information and analyses can inform policy through innovative data or applications. In addition, a panel of well-known experts will discuss the key aspects that make geospatial analysis and information relevant for progress measurement and policy making in the current ages.
