OECD Memorial Conference for the Great East Japan Earthquake, 14 March 2012

 

08/03/2012 - One year has gone by since the Great East Japan Earthquake of 11 March 2011.  A memorial conference, open to the media and co-organised by the Delegation of Japan and the OECD, will take place on 14 March at the OECD to review the situation in Japan one year on, present OECD’s efforts and contributions to recovery, and to share lessons learned with other member countries. 

 

Mr. Motohide Yoshikawa, Japan’s Ambassador to the OECD will serve as the moderator and give opening remarks. Participants include the OECD Secretary-General Angel Gurría (read his speech), Nuclear Energy Agency Director General Luis Echavarri and Deputy Executive Director of the International Energy Agency Richard H. Jones.
