OECD international teacher and school leader survey to be published Wednesday 19 June 2019

12/06/2019 - The findings of the third OECD Teaching and Learning International Survey (TALIS) will be published at 11.00 a.m. Paris time (09.00 GMT) on Wednesday 19 June 2019.

TALIS is the largest international survey of teachers and involved over 250,000 teachers and school leaders at 15,000 primary, lower and upper-secondary schools from 48 countries and economies (country list). The survey includes international trend indicators and timely analysis on themes including: teachers’ motivations, time use, teaching practices; teacher education; induction and mentoring; professional development; diversity; school climate; and job satisfaction.

This first volume looks at how teachers apply their knowledge and skills in the classroom in the form of teaching practices, as well as the demographics of the workforce and socio-cultural makeup of classrooms and the school climate. It also assesses the ways in which teachers acquired their knowledge and skills during their early education and training, as well as how they develop them throughout their careers.
