OECD Economic Survey of Canada 2023: Monday 6 March

The OECD will present its latest Economic Survey of Canada on Monday 6 March 2023. The Survey examines Canada’s economic performance in the face of recent global challenges and discusses ways to lift long-term growth and continue progress in addressing socio-economic issues. A special chapter takes an in-depth look at Canada’s efforts to transition to a net-zero economy.


OECD Acting Chief Economist Alvaro Pereira will present the Survey’s findings and recommendations, and take questions, along with Senior OECD Economist Philip Hemmings at an event hosted jointly by the Canadian Association of Business Economics (CABE) and the Ottawa Economics Association (OEA) at the Rideau Club in Ottawa (99 Bank St, Ottawa, ON K1P 6B9) from 10:30 to 11:30.


The event will be moderated by Tim Sargent, Distinguished Fellow at the Centre for International Governance Innovation in Waterloo, Ontario, Deputy Executive Director at the Centre for the Study of Living Standards in Ottawa, and a former Deputy Minister of International Trade and of Fisheries and Oceans, and Associate Deputy Minister of Finance and of Agriculture.
