22/09/2020 - The OECD Business and Finance Outlook 2020, the Organisation’s annual flagship publication providing data and analysis on the trends shaping business, finance and investment, will be released on Tuesday 29 September at 11.00 CEST (09.00 GMT).
The COVID-19 pandemic has highlighted an urgent need to consider resilience in finance, both in the financial system itself and in the role played by capital and investors in making economic and social systems more dynamic and able to withstand external shocks. This year’s edition focuses on the environmental, social and governance (ESG) factors that are rapidly becoming a part of mainstream finance. It evaluates current practices and identifies priorities and actions to better align investments with sustainable, long-term value – in particular, the need for more consistent, comparable and verifiable data on ESG performance.
Journalists will be allowed advance access to the electronic version of the report, by e-mail and under embargo. In asking to receive the report under embargo, journalists undertake to respect the OECD’s embargo procedures. Requests to receive the report by e-mail under embargo should be sent to firstname.lastname@example.org. The report will be sent under embargo on Monday 28 September.
