The State of Mind in Economics

NAEC-Banner

Experts in the fields of economics, behavioural and cognitive sciences, psychology and philosophy joined leading neuroscientists at a New Approaches to Economic Challenges (NAEC) workshop to answer the question: What has neuroeconomics and the study of the neural processes involved in decision making told us that we could not have learned from direct observation of human behaviour?

Participants gave a personal evaluation of the state of the subject in light of their own work and experience, indicating what they find to be important (or maybe even misleading) in current research and what should be envisaged, investigated and discussed from here on. Cambridge University Press will publish the proceedings as “The State of Mind in Economics”.
