Colombia – Voices of Venezuela
Voices of Venezuela is a civil society initiative in Colombia, which aims to reach both Venezuelan migrants as well as members of host communities in order to provide essential information about migration processes, policies, and related issues in an interactive and easily accessible way, continuously responding to evolving needs, demands for information and debates. Using digital communication technologies, it allows users to connect to each other and thus promoting community engagement.
With its online helpline service, is has reached over 640.000 migrants and more than 4 million Colombian citizens with content addressing misinformation and raising awareness for issues of concern for both Venezuelan and host communities.
Most recently, Voices of Venezuela has launched a platform enabling local authorities and organizations to directly connect, learn from and collaborate with each other and vulnerable populations on the ground. |
