The OECD Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC) Regional Programme provided a new momentum for the OECD’s ongoing co-operation with the region through a comprehensive approach that:

• offered a high-level, strategic, whole-of-government policy dialogue
• promoted further exchanges of best policy practices, and
• helped to bring in the views, experiences and perspectives of LAC countries into the OECD’s work
  
  

The Programme was launched by the MCM Chair (Read the intervention by the President of Chile Michelle Bachelet) and the OECD Secretary-General (Read the remarks by Angel Gurría), in the presence of Ministers from OECD Member and Partner countries.
