STAN indicators: industry coverage
To facilitate international comparisons, the database uses a standard industry list for all countries. This list is based on ISIC Rev. 3 (for more details, see the United Nations' classification registry ) and is compatible with the NACE Rev. 1 classification used by EU Member countries. Also, it includes additional industry groups that enable users to focus on technology, innovation - and/or knowledge-intensive industries, while taking into consideration general data availability which, for detailed sectors, may vary across countries.
