OECD Reviews of Health Systems: Russian Federation 2012 Life expectancy fell sharply in Russia in the 1990s, to levels well below those in OECD countries. Recently, things have improved, as Russia reforms its health care, increases health spending, and tackles harmful use of alcohol and tobacco. This OECD review, to be released on 21st June, assesses how far Russia has gone in overhauling its health policies, and what else it should be doing to improve the health of its citizens. Diabetes Roadmap Following the European Diabetes Leadership Forum (EDLF) which took place on 25-26 April 2012, the Copenhagen Roadmap presents practical and concrete initiatives to improve diabetes prevention, early detection and intervention, as well as management and control.
