12 January 2015: Launch of tramitesmetepec.mx, the new on-line registry for formalities
The OECD Regulatory Policy Division and the Municipality of Metepec launched the new on-line registry for formalities tramitesmetepec.mx. In accordance with best international practices among OECD countries, the new website organises formalities by “Life events”, which facilitates the search of information for citizens and entrepreneurs, and reduces the cost of regulatory compliance.

16 October 2013
OECD and the Municipality of Metepec launched a programme to implement the Standard Cost Model. This is one of the main regulatory policy tool widely adopted by OECD countries to apply administrative simplification and reduction of administrative burdens to business and citizens. With this programme the Municipality of Metepec becomes the first in Mexico to adopt this tool. On 25 March 2014, the programme was presented to the Citizen Council on Regulatory Improvement of Metepec.
OECD expects that the simplification of formalities and reduction of administrative burdens in Metepec will contribute to improving the business environment, help boost entrepreneurial activity, and improve the services and facilities for citizens.
The OECD will provide capacity building workshops, will review the existing stock of formalities, measure administrative burdens, and propose strategies of simplification to the Municipality of Metepec. Additionally, OECD will prepare an implementation plan and will issue progress reports.
