The Collaborative Africa Budget Reform Initiative (CABRI) convenes a community of senior officials from ministries of finance and/or planning across Africa who are responsible for the public financial management of their countries.

 

The peer network provides a platform for knowledge exchange and learning. It facilitates research and innovative approaches to PFM, serves as a driver for the development of locally appropriate PFM solutions, and acts as a collective and coherent voice in the international arena, promoting common African positions towards good public financial governance.

 

CABRI was founded in 2004, with the OECD Senior Budget Officials Regional Network being a key provider of advice and strategic guidance in the formative years.

 

CABRI participating countries: Benin, Botswana, Burundi, Chad, Comoros, Congo, Cote d’Ivoire, Democratic Republic of Congo, Guinea, Madagascar, Malawi, Mauritania, Morocco, Mozambique, Namibia, Niger, Seychelles, Sierra Leone, Swaziland, Tanzania (+ Zanzibar), Tunisia, Zambia, Zimbabwe.
