Harmonised set of global indicators on gender equality

The OECD is working, within the framework of the Inter-Agency Expert Group on Gender Statistics (IAEG-GS), to harmonize outcome indicators on gender equality globally.

In Busan, Korea, at the occasion of the Fourth High Level Forum on Aid Effectiveness (29 November-1 December 2011), this set of indicators to measure gender equality outcomes was agreed. These indicators are at the core of the “Evidence and Data for Gender Equality” (EDGE) initiative and part of both the Busan Joint Action Plan on Gender Equality and Development and the Busan Action Plan for Statistics
