This workshop on 19-20 May 2021 focused on enabling societal deliberation on neurotechnology and promoting cultures of stewardship and trust in neurotechnology across the public and private sector in the context of the OECD Recommendation on Responsible Innovation in Nanotechnology.
Mr. Angel Gurría, Secretary-General of the OECD, will address, in a video, the conference ‘’From Pandemic to Recovery: The Role of Development Banks in Tackling the Economic Crisis’’, on 9 September 2020, highlighting the importance of the OECD’s work and standards on sustainable infrastructure and SMEs in the post-COVID-19 context.
Mr. Angel Gurría, Secretary-General of the OECD, delivered remarks, followed by a Q&A, at a Webinar organised by Fundación Euroamérica, on Monday 29 June 2020 under the title “COVID-19 and Latin America: Priorities against the pandemic and for the recovery”.

This workshop, held in Shanghai on 6-7 September 2018, focused on exploring some of the unique ethical, legal and policy challenges raised by health-related applications of brain science and its integration into cutting-edge neurotechnologies. A key aim was to provide a forum for innovators to discuss strategies for delivering responsible innovation in neurotechnology for health and well-being applications.

This High-Level Forum will be held at the OECD Conference Centre in Paris on 16 January 2017. Issues include: Harnessing digital technology and data to create proactive, people-centred systems; Overcoming technical, institutional and cultural challenges; Caring for people with complex needs; The importance of measuring what matters to people and to patients, and The role of international and cross-sector collaboration.
The G7 Health Ministers meeting in Kobe on 11-12 September welcomed OECD work on the linkages between Universal Health Coverage and healthy ageing, and recognised OECD work on access to innovative health treatments. The OECD will deliver initial findings following the French-led initiative to identify innovative options to pay for new medicines and high-cost treatments at the 17 January 2016 OECD Health Ministers meeting.
