OECD to launch review of labour market reforms in Portugal – Thursday 19 January, Lisbon


17/01/2017 - The OECD will launch a review of the comprehensive labour market reforms undertaken in Portugal between 2011 and 2015 at 15:00 CET on Thursday 19 January. “Labour Market Reforms in Portugal 2011-2015 – A Preliminary Assessment” assesses the reforms in employment protection legislation, unemployment benefits, collective bargaining, minimum wages and working time, and their impact on the labour market.


Stefano Scarpetta, OECD Director of Employment, Labour and Social Affairs, will present the report’s findings, that will be commented by José António Vieira da Silva, Portugal’s Minister of Labour, Solidarity and Social Security, at 15.00 p.m. local time on Thursday 19 January at the Citeforma Auditorium, Av. Marquês de Tomar 91, in Lisbon.
