The objective of the OECD Eurasia Week is to build on prior work in the region and create an opportunity to further strengthen the relations between the countries of the Eurasia region and the OECD. It is also an opportunity to raise the visibility of the enhanced co-operation on a broad spectrum of thematic issues relevant to further improving the region’s competitiveness.

The EUWI EECCA is the regional component of the EU Water Initiative focused on Eastern Europe, the Caucasus and Central Asia (EECCA). It supports work of the European Neighbourhood Policy and of the EU-Central Asia Platform for Environment and Water Cooperation, and helps to promote the progressive approximation to EU water policies, particularly to the EU Water Framework Directive, in EECCA countries.

The United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) is organising a national workshop on Green Economy Assessment (simulation modelling) on 10-11 April 2014 in Kiev, Ukraine. The workshop is delivered jointly with the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade and the Scientific Research Institute under the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine. This review addresses the territorial dimension of a range of policy challenges in the Ukraine, including Ukraine's productivity challenge, large inter-regional disparities, and need for decentralisation.
The aim of this seminar was to build institutional capacities and transfer methodologies to the Ukrainian policy makers on areas which could improve the country’s agricultural competitiveness and sustain Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs), building on the OECD know-how and reflecting on the Trento experience.

Renewable energy sources can play an important role in Ukraine in educing the country's energy dependence while lowering greenhouse gas emissions. Established renewable energy sources suffer from outdated technology while the development of innovative renewable sources is hampered by administrative hurdles.

The seminar focuses on strengthening the SME cluster policy framework in Ukraine and on exploring the possibility of establishing an aircraft manufacturing cluster in Ukraine. Three main topics will be addressed, including (i) the benefits of industry clusters for an economy, (ii) the functioning of industry clusters, and (iii) policy measures fostering industry clusters.
