Mr. Angel Gurría, Secretary-General of the OECD, was in Nairobi from 30 November to 1 December 2016 to attend the Second High-Level Meeting (HLM2) of the Global Partnership for Effective Development Co-operation.
The Secretary-General delivered opening remarks, closing remarks, and addressed the plenary on the topic “Moving forward: How effective development can deliver the 2030 Agenda”. He also delivered keynotes at two events on tax and development, highlighting recent successes in the OECD’s co-operation with developing countries.
While in Nairobi, Mr. Gurría also held several bilateral meetings with high-level officials attending the event.
