Mr. Angel Gurría, Secretary-General of the OECD, will be in Madrid on 10 March 2020 on an official visit to Spain. He will hold bilateral meetings with Mr. Pedro Sánchez, Prime Minister of Spain and Ms. Arancha González Laya, Minister of Foreign Affairs, European Union and Cooperation of Spain.
Mr. Angel Gurría, Secretary-General of the OECD, will be in Madrid on 2nd December 2019 to attend the official opening of the UN Climate Change Conference (COP25).
Mr. Angel Gurría, Secretary-General of the OECD, will be in Barcelona on 25 February 2019 to attend the Mobile World Congress. The Secretary-General will deliver a Keynote speech at the AI Innovation, Ethics and Diversity session. He will also deliver remarks at the Investing in the Digital Transformation Ministerial session.
In Madrid, the Secretary-General will present the 2018 OECD Economic Survey of Spain, alongside Ms. Nadia Calviño, Minister of Economy and Enterprise of Spain. He will also deliver remarks at an event signalling the Accession of Spain to the Global Deal, alongside Ms. Magdalena Valerio, given that the OECD houses the Global Deal’s Support Unit.
Mr. Angel Gurría, Secretary-General of the OECD, was in Madrid 13-15 June 2018. The Secretary-General delivered remarks at the event organised by the Consejo Iberoamericano para la Competitividad y Productividad: "Innovación gubernamental para un Estado al servicio de la Sociedad".

The Secretary-General presented the 2017 Economic Survey of Spain alongside Mr. Luis de Guindos, Minister of Economy, Industry and Competitiveness. He also had an audience with HRM Felipe VI, King of Spain, delivered a lecture on the global economic outlook at Fundación CaixaBank, opened a seminar on innovation and the digital economy at Fundación Areces and participated in a panel on corporate governance at Instituto de Empresa.
Mr. Angel Gurría, Secretary-General of the OECD, was on an official visit to Madrid from 27 February to 2 March 2015. Mr. Gurría received a Doctorado Honoris Causa from the Universidad Europea de Madrid and the Nueva Economía Award, granted by the Nueva Economía Forum.
Mr. Angel Gurría, Secretary-General of the OECD, was in Spain on 8 September 2014 to present the OECD 2014 Economic Survey of Spain, with the participation of Minister Luis de Guindos. While in Madrid, the Secretary-General held meetings with the Spanish authorities.
