The First Steering Committee meeting under European Union Water Initiative Plus for the Eastern Partnership (EUWI+) project took place on 15-16 May 2017 in Brussels.

The meeting was chaired by the European Commission and brought together the Programme’s implementing partners (UNECE, OECD and an EU-Member States Consortium of Austria and France) and official representatives from the six Eastern Partnership countries: Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Republic of Moldova and Ukraine.

During the meeting the participants shared their experience and aspirations for the programme, gave feedback on the draft Inception Report and discussed the proposed national work programmes for each country. They also agreed on the next steps in terms of programme implementation.
