Following EU4Environment consultations with the Eastern Partnership (EaP) countries (Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Republic of Moldova, Ukraine) in May-June 2020, the second Regional Assembly meeting was held virtually on 22 September 2020. The meeting took stock of the Action implementation; the work plans for 2020-21; and update on governance arrangements and progress on communication.

On 11 September 2020, the second meeting of the Inter-ministerial Working Group on the promotion of Sustainable Development and Green Economy/National Implementation Committee (NIC) for EU4Environment in Moldova took place to discuss the programme implementation, activities and participation in upcoming meetings.
Mr. Angel Gurría, Secretary-General of the OECD, delivered a Keynote speech at the International Online Conference to Address Water-related DRR under the COVID-19 Pandemic, jointly organised by the High-Level Experts and Leaders Panel on Water and Disasters (HELP), UNDESA, UN Centre for Regional Development (UNCRD), Asian Development Bank and the National Graduate Institute for Policy Studies (GRIPS) of Japan.
EU4Environment is helping Azerbaijan align national environmental assessment legislation with international commitments. Azerbaijan progresses on its commitment to apply environmental impact assessment, including in a transboundary context, to prevent and mitigate damage to the environment and health from economic growth.
On 20 July 2020, the EU4Environment Implementing Partners, jointly with the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources and Ministry for Development of Economy, Trade and Agriculture of Ukraine, held a virtual consultation. The objectives were to review the in-country situation in light of COVID-19; present progress with EU4Environment implementatio and discuss plans for the rest of the year in light of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The objectives were to review the in-country situation in light of COVID-19; present progress with EU4Environment implementation; discuss plans for the rest of the year in light of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Friday 12 June: join the OECD and WWF for a High-Level Dialogue providing a dynamic platform and opportunity to share insights and look at pragmatic pathways towards building greener and more resilient post-COVID-19 societies. This third dialogue will focus on “A Green Recovery and the Financial System”.
Friday 5 June: join OECD and WWF for the second of three high-level dialogues aimed at informing the development of better, greener and more resilient post-COVID-19 societies. This second dialogue will focus on “Nature-Based Solutions as a Force for a Green and Resilient Recovery”. The next dialogue on "A Green Recovery and the Financial System" is scheduled on 12 June, the registration is now open.
