The OECD is active in helping governments to support integrity and fight corruption. Several high-level public events as well as OECD Committee meetings addressing the issue of integrity and anti-corruption took place at the OECD during the week of 22-26 April 2013.

On Tuesday and Wednesday, the 2013 Forum on Integrity will display recent integrity and anti-corruption initiatives, both from the OECD and from partner organisations, and discuss how to reinforce coherence and coordination in the fight against corruption.

On Thursday and Friday, the High-Level Anti-Corruption Conference for G20 Governments and Business, co-organised by the Russian G20 Presidency and the OECD, with support from the UN Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC), will focus on promoting transparency and integrity in organising sport and other major events, and "cutting-edge" measures for governments and business to combat corruption.

Throughout the week, meetings of government representatives discussed a wide range of integrity-related issues:

• Members of the DAC Network on Governance (GovNet) focused on how to make institutions more efficient and accountable. They also finalise a report on joint donor action to fight corruption in aid programmes.
  
  
• The Public Governance Committee debated challenges to maintaining trust (e.g. revolving doors, conflicts of interest) and key levers for building trust in public policy making, such as transparency in lobbying or political financing at a Symposium on “Trust in Government for Better Policy Outcomes: What are the Implications for Governments?”
  
  
• Delegates to the Regulatory Policy Committee will discuss inspection reform.

2013 Forum on Integrity – Improving Integrity in Practice

On 23-24 April 2013, the OECD-wide integrity initiative ‘CleanGovBiz’ organised the 2013 Forum on Integrity – Improving Integrity in Practice. The Forum brought together country officials and representatives of international organisations, business, trade and civil society to exchange and discuss best practices in implementing integrity. Participants were briefed on current OECD and partner organisations’ anti-corruption projects and discussed the recent Integrity Scan of Tunisia in the presence of the Tunisian Minister for Governance and Anti-Corruption.

High-Level Anti-Corruption Conference for G20 Governments and Business

On 25-26 April 2013, the OECD hosted the Third Annual High-Level Anti-Corruption Conference for G20 Governments and Business, co-organised by the Russian G20 Presidency and the OECD, with support from the UN Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC). Invited high-level speakers include OECD Secretary-General Angel Gurría, UNODC Executive Director Yury Fedotov, and high-level representatives from G20 governments, businesses, and civil society organisations, including China Eastern Airlines, Brazil’s Office of the Comptroller General, ENI, the International Chamber of Commerce, and Vodafone.
