The Secretary-General of the OECD, was in Beijing from 10 to 12 September 2017 at the invitation of Prime Minister Li Keqiang to discuss the global economic outlook and how to continue advancing China’s development.
Mr. Angel Gurría, Secretary-General of the OECD, was in Slovenia from 3 to 5 September 2017. He held bilateral meetings with Mr. Borut Pahor, President, and Mr. Miro Cerar, Prime Minister of the Republic of Slovenia, as well as with several Ministers, the President of the National Assembly and members of Parliament.
The Secretary-General attended the Ambrosetti Forum in Cernobbio, Italy, on 31 August - 2 September 2017 where he delivered remarks on the global economic outlook.
Mr. Angel Gurría, Secretary-General of the OECD, was in Bangkok, from 23 to 25 August 2017, on an Official visit to Thailand. He held bilateral meetings with Prime Minister Prayut Chan-Ocha, Mr. Somkid Jatusripitak, Deputy Prime Minister, and several Ministers and high level authorities.
The Secretary-General was in South Africa on 24-25 July 2017 to present the 2017 OECD Economic Survey of South Africa.
The Secretary-General will be in Geneva on 11 July 2017 to deliver remarks at the Opening of the 6th Global Review on Aid for Trade, organised at the World Trade Organization.
The Secretary-General was in Hamburg on 7-8 July 2017 to attend the G20 Leaders Summit where he delivered remarks in various sessions of the Summit, including on the benefits and challenges of digitalisation.
The Secretary-General was in Lisbon on 3-4 July 2017 to attend the 2017 Tidewater Meeting, where he delivered remarks at the Opening ceremony. He also addressed a joint session of the Financial, Economic, and European Affairs Committees of the Parliament of Portugal.
The Secretary-General was in Budapest on Monday 26 June 2017, to attend the 2017 Conference of the Global Forum on Productivity where he delivered Welcome Remarks. He also held bilateral meetings with Hungarian high level authorities and signed an agreement to work on an SME strategy for Hungary with Mr. Mihály Varga, Minister for National Economy.
The Secretary-General was in Bratislava on 21 June 2017 to present the 2017 Economic Survey of the Republic of Slovakia. He also presented the OECD report “Assessment of key anti-corruption related legislation in the Slovak Republic”.
