Mr. Angel Gurría, Secretary-General of the OECD, at United Nations Climate Summit, New York, 22-25 September 2014

 

Mr. Angel Gurría, Secretary-General of the OECD, was in New York from 22 to 25 to attend the United Nations Climate Summit, in which he moderated a panel discussion on “The Economic Case for Action”.

He also delivered remarks at the OECD-CPI Event “Improving transparency and accountability through improved tracking of climate finance flows” and at the OECD/Australia side event “How can policy coherence help curb illicit financial flows in the post-2015 era?”

The Secretary-General also held bilateral meetings with several world leaders attending the Summit and UN high level officials.

In New York, Mr. Gurría also attended the Open Government Partnership High-Level Event and the Ministerial Plenary Session of the G7 Deauville Partnership meeting.

He also attended the ceremony of the “2014 Harold W McGraw Jr Prize in Education”, to be attributed by McGraw Hill Financial Research Foundation to Mr. Andreas Schleicher, Director of the OECD Education Directorate.
