The Project Progress Meeting and Strategy Development Workshop under European Union Water Initiative Plus for the Eastern Partnership (EUWI+) project took place on 25-26 April 2018 in Minsk, Belarus.
The first day was dedicated to the discussion of strategic and mid-term planning for water at the national level, incorporating international obligations into strategic plans, the role of RBMPs for integrating national strategy implementation at river basin district scale and collecting data and monitoring to inform water management. The event was supported by the Norwegian Ministry of Climate and Environment under its project with the OECD on Policies to enhance environmental performance and resource security in EECCA (Eastern Europe, Caucasus & Central Asia).
During the second day the participants from six EaP countries presented the results of the on-going project in their respective countries. Inception Report, the Work Programme for 2018, management issues and the up-coming Regional Steering Committee in Tbilisi were also discussed during the meeting.
