The EUWI+ week took place on 25-28 November 2019 in Paris, France and included:

The purpose of EUWI+ week was to steer progress of EUWI+ and enhance sustainable water management to deliver improvements for citizens and the environment through peer-to-peer learning and exchange.

The meeting brought together the National Focal Points, senior government officials, and experts from the six Eastern Partnership countries (Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Republic of Moldova, and Ukraine), the European Commission and the Programme’s implementing partners (UNECE, OECD and an EU-Member States Consortium of Austria and France).

The stakeholders aimed to:

  • take stock of progress achieved with regard to EUWI+ implementation and will look ahead to delivery of remaining work plan items and the benefits for citizens as the project enters the final phase;
  • share experience, highlight good practices, lessons learned and summarise current approaches to address challenges in sustainable water resources management;
