Mr. Angel Gurría, Secretary-General of the OECD, was in Katowice, Poland, on 12-13 December 2018, to attend the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) Conference of the Parties (COP 24).
In Katowice, the Secretary-General attended the OECD High-Level Side Event New Climate Economy (Climate-Growth Nexus) and delivered remarks at the OECD‑UN Environment FI High-Level Side Event (Aligning Finance with the Goals of the Paris Agreement).
Mr. Angel Gurría also announced an OECD project, Aligning Development Co-operation with the Objectives of the Paris Agreement.
The Secretary-General delivered remarks on Going Digital at the University of Economics of Katowice.
While in Katowice, Mr. Angel Gurría held several bilateral meetings with high-level authorities.
