In order to support the further development of practical guidance on implementing Sustainable Materials Management (SMM), the OECD has been conducting a number of materials/product case studies. These case studies look at the entire life cycle of materials/products and discuss environmental impacts and policy measures at different stages of the life cycle.  These have been published and are available to download:
