In this year’s edition, we frame our evidence around how governments can strengthen trust and drive prosperity, despite a high-stakes environment marked by profound demographic, environmental and digital shifts compounded by low trust and limited fiscal space.
Three dimensions for action are identified:

- Enhance a sense of security in the face of rapid societal and economic changes
- And boost efficiency in the economy
Governing for the green transition – the topic of the focus chapter in this edition – exemplifies the scope and scale of the challenges governments face, as well as the intersection of these three key dimensions.
