The dashboard was launched in May 2025.
It sets out data from the 2022 round of the OECD Programme for International Student Assessment (PISA). PISA 2022 includes an unprecedented range of questions related to career development. Notably, it provides comparative data in relation to teenage occupational expectations, participation levels in career development activities and attitudes exploring confidence in career progression.
Many of the data points relate to predictors of better employment outcomes linked to teenage career development as identified within OECD analyses of longitudinal datasets in multiple countries. Longitudinal predictors group around the ways in which students actively explore potential futures in work, gain experience of undertaking tasks in workplaces, and think about their future plans.
Within the dashboard, details are given of the specific questions and statements to which students responded. Links to wider relevant analyses are also provided. PISA 2022 data was collected from some 690 000 students aged 15-16 resident in 80 countries and economies.
Data for all questions is not always available for every participating jurisdiction. The development of this dashboard has been kindly supported by Education and Employers and Amazon.
