The International Conference on Education Making Reforms Happen organised by the OECD in partnership with the Department for Education (England) was held in London, United kingdom on 22-23 January 2015.
The conference attracted high level participants with a mixture of politicians and policy makers, opinion leaders, statisticians, academics, journalists and researchers from many countries. This OECD Conference focused on:
- How can policy makers be more effective with their reform agendas? By discussing and reviewing different policy options to improve school outcomes based on country practice.
- Promote peer learning opportunities for policy makers from different education systems.
The working sessions confirmed the relevance and potential policy impact of the many on-going reform initiatives gathered in the OECD’s Education Policy Outlook 2015: Making Reforms Happen aimed at enhancing frameworks, processes, methods and tools for better education systems.
The conclusions of the Conference marked the beginning of a new challenging and intense working phase.
