Session 1: Enabling sustainability: what lessons from the COVID crisis?
As the COVID-19 pandemic continues to unfold in unpredictable ways, firms must rapidly adapt, identifying new ways of doing business that can support resilience to the crisis and contribute to a lasting and sustainable recovery. With profitability impacted and pressure from stakeholders to deliver, clearly asserted leadership will be critical to maintain sustainability at the core of business. This session will explore whether and how the current economic and social crisis is changing sustainable business models and their relation with key stakeholders across emerging markets.
Session 2: Measuring the impacts of business on well-being and sustainability
Lack of effective measurement of sustainability efforts has been identified as one of the greatest obstacles to implementing sustainability across business in emerging markets. Clear internal and external accountability benchmarks are essential to monitor a firm’s contribution towards the SDGs. This session will feature the latest OECD analysis on Measuring Impacts of Business on Well-being and Sustainability and discuss pathways to progress the implementation of effective measurement initiatives across emerging markets.
