Outreach networks on state-owned enterprises

SOEs remain significant economic players in many Asian economies, making their good governance critical for regional economic growth and competitiveness. The OECD-Asia Network on Corporate Governance of State-Owned Enterprises provides a forum to share good practices and identify common priorities for strengthening the corporate governance of SOEs in Asia.

Latin America

The Latin American Network on Corporate Governance of State-Owned Enterprises promotes an ongoing exchange of experience and knowledge on SOE governance policies, practices and reforms in Latin America, using the SOE Guidelines as a main conceptual framework.

Middle East and North Africa

The MENA-OECD Working Group on Corporate Governance provides a platform for discussing corporate governance priorities in the MENA region, sharing best practices and evaluating their implementation. Its Taskforce on Corporate Governance of State-Owned Enterprise provides a specialised venue for in-depth research and sharing of good practices.

Southern Africa

Boosting the performance of the SOE sector through improved governance arrangements can potentially lead to better economic and social outcomes in Southern Africa. The SOE Network for Southern Africa provides a forum for regional dialogue and co-operation on SOE governance and develops practical guidance tailored to regional development and reform priorities.

Global Knowledge Sharing Network

The Global Knowledge Sharing Network brings together the already existing regional networks active in Asia, Latin America, MENA and Southern Africa. It provides a forum for policy makers, practitioners and experts from around the world to identify common challenges and share good practices for SOE ownership and governance reforms
