Does board diversity contribute to transform companies into more sustainable, valuable and responsible actors—and if it does, how? How can diverse boards ensure that companies can create value and effectively navigate mega trends such as digitalisation, climate change and greater stakeholder demands for purposeful business? What are the processes needed to ensure that this diversity delivers, in terms of more strategic and systemic leadership—particularly in the context of the current COVID-19 crisis? Jointly organised by the OECD and the CFA Institute, the 2020 edition of this annual conference on gender equality in business brought together speakers from business and academia, regulators and policy makers to address these questions and to share experiences and views on how to make this happen, including on the challenges and opportunities posed by the COVID-19 pandemic.
