Press events during OECD Committee on Fiscal Affairs, on 30 June – 1 July in Kyoto, Japan

24/06/2016 - Representatives of countries and jurisdictions worldwide will gather in Kyoto, Japan on 30 June and 1 July for a special meeting of the OECD Committee on Fiscal Affairs organised to take forward the OECD/G20 Base Erosion and Profit Shifting (BEPS) Project.

The two-day meeting will mark a new era in international tax policymaking, as a broad range of countries representing varying levels of development come together for the first time with OECD members and G20 countries to address BEPS on an equal footing in the OECD’s Committee on Fiscal Affairs.  By participating in the decision-making as well as the technical working groups, these countries and jurisdictions will now have a direct influence in shaping the international tax rules.
