Mr. Angel Gurría, Secretary-General of the OECD, in Quito on 16-17 October 2016

 

Mr. Angel Gurría, Secretary-General of the OECD, was in Quito on 16-17 October 2016 to attend the UN Habitat III Conference and deliver remarks in the high-level roundtable “Leave No One Behind: Urban Inclusion and Prosperity”.

 

The Secretary-General opened the joint OECD/Ford Foundation event on “Inclusive Growth in Cities initiative: Getting to Inclusive Growth in Cities” and delivered a keynote speech to launch the National Urban Policy Programme in the OECD side event “Launching of the National Urban Policy Programme: Implementing the New Urban Agenda”.

 

Mr. Gurría also delivered opening remarks in the UN Habitat side event “Implementing the New Urban Agenda through National Urban Policy: Ministerial Perspectives”.

 

In Quito, the Secretary-General held bilateral meetings with several high-level officials attending the event.
