8/02/16-The OECD Economic Assessment of Costa Rica, to be published on Monday 15 February, discusses the country’s recent performance, which has brought about strong growth, rising living standards and the sustainable use of natural resources. The Assessment analyses the current challenges Costa Rica is facing and looks at how policy and institutional reforms can contribute to stronger and more inclusive growth in the future.

 

OECD Secretary-General Angel Gurría will present the Assessment on 15 February in San Jose with President of Costa Rica Luis Guillermo Solís during a press conference starting at 15:00 local time (21:00 GMT) at the Salón Augusto El Grande, Hotel Holiday Inn Aurola (Calle 5, San José, Costa Rica).  Mr Gurria and Mr  Solís will also discuss the process for Costa Rica’s accession to the  OECD, which was launched formally in July 2015.

 

The Assessment will be available to registered journalists on the OECD's password-protected website at 21:00 GMT for immediate release.
