Impact of the COVID-19 crisis on non-standard workers in European OECD countries

19/06/2020 JPG

On average across European OECD countries, the sectors thought most likely to be directly affected by COVID-19 containment measures account for around 40% of total employment. These sectors employ a large proportion of part-time workers, the self-employed and workers hired on fixed-term contracts. The proportion of these non-standard workers is generally highest in entertainment activities, hotels and restaurants.
