The Inter-American Development Bank and the OECD have collaborated on a series of reviews of competition law and policy regimes in Latin America since 2003.

This follow-up study carried out in 2007 aimed at assessing the impact that the previous peer reviews and recommendations had on competition policy and agencies in five Latin American countries: Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Mexico and Peru.

The initial report was discussed during the 2007 annual meeting of the OECD-IDB Latin American Competition Forum held in Mexico.
