THE ROLE OF TRADE UNIONS IN PROMOTING CSR This session focused on the role of Trade Unions in promoting corporate social responsibility. The discussion started with a review of the TUAC User's Guide on OECD Guidelines for Multinational Enterprises and then was structured around the following questions: is CSR substituting for the role of governments or for collective bargaining? The dangers of private standard-setting in the social area, and the challenges associated with rating companies. |
