Statement by OECD Secretary-General Gurría on attack in Nice

 

15/07/2016 - We are deeply saddened ‎by the tragic attack that took place in Nice, resulting in the death and injury of many innocent people. We condemn these terrible acts and would like to extend our unmitigated support to President Hollande, to his government, and to all the French people in this difficult moment. Our thoughts and prayers are with the victims and their families, whom we join in their grief.

 

France has endured recent challenges to its freedoms and I am certain that it will respond again by reaffirming the very same values that we celebrated yesterday during Bastille day: Liberté, Égalité et Fraternité.
