Secretary-General's official visit to Luxembourg (9 -10 November 2006)


During his official visit to Luxembourg, OECD Secretary-General Angel Gurría met with:

The discussions focused primarily on the following themes:

  • Labour market reforms in light of rising unemployment, high level of cross-border workers, and review of the public employment service
  • Education achievement and attainment and the integration of immigrants and those from low socio-economic backgrounds
  • Development assistance and humanitarian action - Luxembourg's record as a member of DAC
  • Investment policies and corporate governance
