OECD Secretary-General in Mexico, 14-15 November 2013


Mr. Angel Gurría, Secretary-General of the OECD, was in Mexico City on 14 and 15 November 2013 to attend the International Forum "Public Policies on Employment and Social Protection", where he delivered closing remarks and met with several Labour Ministers on the sidelines of the Forum.

While in Mexico, Mr. Angel Gurría also held bilateral meetings with the Minister of Energy of Mexico and the Minister of Foreign Affairs.

In addition, the Secretary-General presented the two OECD reviews “Fighting Bid Rigging in Public Procurement in Mexico". A Secretariat Analytical Report on Legislation, Regulations and Practices Relating to Procurement Undertaken by ISSSTE” and “Public Procurement Review of the State's Employees' Social Security and Social Services Institute in Mexico (ISSSTE)”, and meeting with Sebastián Lerdo de Tejada, General Director of ISSSTE, and Alejandra Palacios, President of the Federal Economic Competition Commission (CFCE).
