Mr. Angel Gurría will travel to Cádiz, Spain, on 16th and 17th November 2012, to participate in the XXII Iberoamerican Summit gathering the Heads of State and Government of Spain, Portugal and Latin America.
The Secretary-General will be in Mexico from 1st to 6th November to attend the meetings of G20 Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors, where he will intervene on various issues, notably on the Global Economy and Framework and on the International Financial Architecture.
The Secretary-General met with Chancellor Angela Merkel and the Heads of International Organisations to discuss the global economic outlook as well as policies to boost growth and employment in Europe.
The Secretary-General will be in London to attend the 31st Meeting of Senior Officials from the Centres of Government (CoG). During his visit to the UK, he will also deliver a Keynote speech at the Canning House Conference 2012: “Latin America on the global stage”, and meet with Mr. George Osborne, Chancellor of the Exchequer and Ms. Justine Greening, Secretary of State for Development.
For his official visit to India, Secretary-General Angel Gurría will open the 4th OECD World Forum on Statistics, Knowledge and Policy in New Delhi. He will also meet with key government officials and business leaders to present the tailor-made OECD Policy Brochure on India.
On the occasion of his official visit to Tokyo, Angel Gurría will participate in a number of high-level international meetings, including as keynote speaker for the International Institute of Finance 30th Anniversary.
On 8 October, the Secretary General, Angel Gurría, visited Denmark to participate in the Global Green Growth Forum (3GF) and met with high level representatives of the Danish government.
The Secretary-General will present in Tallinn the OECD Economic Review of Estonia, at a joint press Conference with Mr. Andrus Ansip, Prime Minister of Estonia.
On the occasion of his official visit to Jakarta, Angel Gurría presented the OECD Economic Survey of Indonesia and the OECD Regulatory Reform Review of Indonesia. He also met with key government officials.
During his visit to Rome, Mr. Angel Gurría attended the “International Conference on Structural Reforms in Italy”. The aim of the Conference was to take stock of structural reforms recently adopted in Italy and to identify further steps to promote competitiveness, growth and employment while ensuring social cohesion.
