Mr. Angel Gurría, Secretary-General of the OECD, was in Oslo on 5 March to present the 2014 OECD Economic Survey of Norway.
Mr. Angel Gurría, Secretary-General of the OECD, was in Bilbao on 3 March 2014 to attend the Global Forum Spain “Spain: from Stability to Growth”, where he delivered a keynote speech on “Reforms in Europe: achievements and challenges”.
Mr. Angel Gurría, Secretary-General of the OECD, was in Sydney from 21 to 23 February 2014 to attend the G20 Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors meetings. While in Sydney, the Secretary-General launched the 2014 OECD Going for Growth report, alongside Mr. Joseph Benedict "Joe" Hockey, Treasurer of Australia.
Mr. Angel Gurría, Secretary-General of the OECD, attended the OECD Seminar “The Euro area at a crossroads: Policies for growth, jobs and competitiveness” in Brussels on 17 February 2014 at the Council of the European Union, ahead of the regular Eurogroup meeting. At the Seminar, the Secretary-General presented the OECD report “Economic Challenges and Policy Recommendations for the Euro Area”.
Mr. Angel Gurría, Secretary-General of the OECD, is in Helsinki on 12th February 2014, to present the 2014 OECD Economic Survey of Finland, with Ms. Jutta Urpilainen, Minister of Finance.
Mr. Angel Gurría, Secretary-General of the OECD, was in Brussels on 10-11 February 2014, where he delivered remarks at the European Competition Forum “The Internal Market and Beyond: challenges for a modern competition policy”.
The Prime Minister of Ireland, Taoiseach Enda Kenny TD, and Deputy Prime Minister Tánaiste Eamon Gilmore TD, visited the OECD on 7 February to discuss Ireland’s economic recovery and its partnership with the Organisation as a key ally supporting their reform agenda.
The Prime Minister of Norway, Erna Solberg, visited the OECD today to hold a bilateral meeting with Secretary-General Angel Gurría. They discussed the on-going collaboration between Norway and the OECD and how the Organisation can best contribute to Mrs. Solberg’s agenda for reform.
The secretary-General attended the World Economic Forum 2014 Davos where he delivered remarks in different sessions and held bilateral meetings with officials from several countries attending the Forum.
