OECD Forest Project Event - opening remarks

I am delighted to welcome you to this special event, expressing the commitment of the OECD to sustainability. We are here because we need to practice what we preach. We advise governments on how to be greener, so the least we can do is an equivalent effort to green the OECD and its management practices.

Launch of the 2017 Economic Survey of India

We all recognise that India has been a star performer in gloomy times for the world economy. We launch about 25 OECD Economic Surveys every year, and it is not often that I get to announce growth figures of 7%. This is more than double the current global growth figure, and four times the OECD average.
