Official Visit of the OECD Secretary-General to the United Kingdom (London, 23rd - 26th July 2012)


On the occasion of his official visit to London, Angel Gurría will participate in the Global Investment Conference hosted by the British Government, deliver a keynote lecture on the New Approaches to Economic Challenges at the Official Monetary and Financial Institutions Forum (OMFIF), and participate in a roundtable discussion with the London School of Economics (LSE) Growth Commissioners.

The OECD Secretary-General will also meet with the following government officials:

  • Mr. William Hague, Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs
  • Mr. George Osborne, Chancellor of the Exchequer
  • Mr. Vince Cable, Secretary of State for Business, Innovation and Skills
  • Mr. Andrew Lansley, Secretary of State for Health

  • Mr. Andrew Mitchell, Secretary of State for International Development, DFID
  • Mr. Chris Grayling, Minister of State for Employment
  • Mr. Mervyn King, Governor of the Bank of England
