Official visit of the OECD Secretary-General to Estonia (Tallinn, 1st October 2012)

 

The Secretary-General will be in Tallinn where he will present the OECD Economic Survey of Estonia at a joint press Conference with Mr. Andrus Ansip, Prime Minister of Estonia (Read Gurría's speech).

The OECD Economic Survey of Estonia discusses the country’s forceful recovery from the global economic crisis, as well as steps it can take to ensure sustainable growth. The study assesses Estonia’s exposure to external shocks and volatility, and proposes reforms for reducing the risks of another boom-bust cycle. It also covers potential reforms for improving the effectiveness of social protection, labour market and education policies.

During his official visit, the Secretary-General will also meet:

  • Mr. Jürgen Ligi, Minister of Finance
  • Mr. Hanno Pevkur, Minister of Social Affairs
  • Mr. Ardo Hansson, Governor of the Bank of Estonia
