Secretary-General's official visit to Finland, 28th February 2013


The Secretary-General, Mr. Angel Gurría, was in Helsinki to deliver a keynote speech at the Finnish Government’s mid-term review.


On that occasion, he presented the brochure “Finland - Fit for the Future”, suggesting a series of structural reforms Finland should undertake in order to achieve long-term sustainable growth and preserve the country’s comprehensive welfare state arrangements in the face of demographic ageing.


Mr. Gurría also had a bilateral meeting with Mr. Alexander Stubb, Minister for Foreign Trade and European Affairs.
