Mr. Angel Gurría will travel to Cádiz, Spain, on 16th and 17th November 2012, to participate in the XXII Iberoamerican Summit gathering the Heads of State and Government of Spain, Portugal and Latin America.
During his stay in Cádiz, Mr. Gurría will present the Latin American Economic Outlook 2013 “SME Policies for Structural Change”, which analyses the regional macroeconomic perspectives and highlights that policy makers need to make use of the policy space at their disposal to lay the foundations for inclusive and sustainable growth. This year’s report, jointly produced with the UN Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC), underlines the key role that SMEs play as an integral part of the regional economic fabric, and calls for greater coordination in policies promoting SMEs.
The OECD Secretary-General will also present in Cádiz the OECD’s work on revenue statistics in Latin America. He will hold bilateral meetings with various Latin American Leaders.
